live love laugh sent from my touch

Let go of that bitter Apple

So many different points of view, I we all know I have been feeling the disappointment of love lost.... That bitter sweet taste of losing something that was wonderful, and yet is over!!!! I wish to keep the good memories alive, for there are so many, but If I only think of the good then I latch on to this illusion of what I LOVE... that no longer is. so ..... and if I focus on the bad that ended the relationship then I become angry and full of hatred for being in this situation that has no logic... how tragic.

so love the past and become delusional or hate the past and become jaded... wow... the in between stages of life are always the hardest, because once enough time passes, everything fades, like my teens they have begun to fade. Wow I would enjoy a re-encounter with my school girl uniform just about now...

The walk home, the rain failing lightly on the dirty snow of NYC, I am walking down Houston my Mission to return to Brooklyn with trees. The holidays threw me for a loop. I must complete my lists before New Years... As I walk the voices begin to rise. *** *** is dead, can you believe it *** *** is dead. I get to rest tonight. Time to thank for all my accomplishments. How did *** *** die, it was an attack of the heart, so painful to watch I tell you. But now we must move on. You see there seems to be a corporation in my head, ME, MYSELF & I. That night on my way home they needed to vent. The plan was, to train at work. Starting at 7 pm, but it was a slow day and knowing that the rest of the week is going to be busy, they offered me the evening off. So as I walk toward the L train, taking the longest possible route to 1st and 14th. As I reach 1st ave I get a call... Sure come by. I enter an old apt with a tub in the kitchen. Can you believe this I have been living in NYC for 12 years and this is the first time I am in an apartment with a full vintage tub in the kitchen, I can't get past the visual, I just want to sit in there and the let the shower run over me while watching you make coffee.... wow I got to go. So now WE are walking again. I enjoy being alone in the city tonight. There are few people out, including traffic. walking down to canal street. A place I normally would avoid in the day. It's quiet the red lights glisten in the rain. German tourists are talking behind me. The girl has beautiful full lips no lipstick but the are red from the cold.

I love my long black Jacket I can continue to zig zag through the city in the rain, Masotta I am thinking of walking in the rain for hours. I get on the train . Take out my google phone as I wait begin to play games. I board the train with out looking but sure I am facing the right side, how many time have I taken this train... When we get to the next station I jump out and question my instinct only to board the next train swiftly as though I am in an Indiana Jones movie. I check and NOW I AM ON THE WRONG TRAIN. Giggling to myself I realize I don't want to go home yet. I get out an walk again in the rain with the lights and the quiet solace of the city. I HEART NY. Feeling alive in a simple walk.

Fire Play

Spent the afternoon with a great friend and performer (I Like You), I found a new thrilling fear, to conquer.... Fire play. I enjoy the feel of this against my skin, but my heart beats so fast, and I must take a moment and slow down!!! After a great work out, and no more hair on my arms. It's time for work.

druken Santas

walking cross town on 4th St. after an amazing workout with some fire play, I became confused by the amount of Santa costumes I was seeing, disturbing drunken. My inner child wants to puke! I am going to enforce a no Santa rule tonight at work.

Ten pounds project

I read all these blogs about losing weight staying thin, what about the girls who need to gain weight? who have a healthy active lifestyle, but somehow got to thin. Last night at the NYAA art opening, I was talking with Panning, Nicole, & Elizabeth all three talking about losing weight they look at me and say you don't have that problem... no my problem is I don't gain it!!!! so my goal 10 pounds and the only way I will know is how my legs and ass fit into my jeans. Since I have a phobia of scales (thanks to r.m...)

I want to lie on my back with my legs in the air, squeezing to fit into my favorite jeans beat up black with patches everywhere. I want to feel that my legs can barely be contained.

dumbo's feather

simple little things mean so much. recently I was showered with gifts. everyone loves to be cared about. but most gifts especially in this seasons when people feel obliged to give... mean nothing.
I met a stranger, who gave me a bracelet simple wooden beads, old, worn in, faded, said they brought protection. I don't take them off, if you don't see them on my wrist they are on my ankle under a big flowing dress, or in my hair as I model for artists. but mostly they are on my right wrist, on my left wrist Live, Love, Laugh. Words to live by, another reminder another great gift.
my wrists make me feel like WONDER WOMAN.

La Princessa Mandarina tiene un nuevo Tattoo... Estoy feliz, Live, Love, Laugh. Porque la vida nos da palo!

Hola Universo que es lo que me tratas de decir? Te estoy escuchando....

Amanecer y ver la realidad, como piensas que esas brutalidades de comportamiento me gustan como mujer.
Recently it has come to my attention that I fall into so many (WRONG) categories. I am sitting at the bar last night when this man who looked like he was wearing a wig, and has laid out in the sun until his skin was orange, starts talking to me.... I take a moment stand, turn my chair to make sure (in what I consider a polite manner) I give him my back. My lack of interest in his solo bragging conversation labels me Jewish or a Dyke... I turned in awe, and thought to myself hmmmm, it's better then being asked if I am a gender bender from Singapore. I posted the following comment on Facebook and this is what I got.

Are you Jewish or a dyke? No I am Colombian

Natsku Vega
LOL! Perfect....
Heather Ackerman Humphries
LOL. Please come visit me w/ Monie. I am laid up after surgery. Would love to see your pretty face.
Gayatri Martin
labels, gender, are you human? i did a cool gender exercise at my tantra workshop this past week-end ... lists of gender attributes were cool i think u r cool
Jeff Stache
It's a classic question! Do you thnk it would work if I tried it as a pick up line?
Jeff Stache
Gender attribute are important ot humans, otherwise we'd be squids. Just importnat not to be trapped by them but use them to our best advantage.
Matthew P. Gordon
OMG did someone actually ask you that? You're kidding...
Jeff Stache
Was it a man or woman wsho asked you? Im mt imagination I'm seeing either guy with slick hair, a wifebeater shirt and a big gold chain, or... a woman with slick hair, a wifebeater shirt and a big gold chain.

Forced Transformation

I know what all you dirty minded little friends of mine are thinking, but no.... this is not a TRANY story. It's life, my life. This past month without notice everything has changed again. My sadness is slowly drifting away, my hope has begun to shift into acceptance. My questions remain ... UNANSWERED

I am strong
I am able
I am mine

Families come together in times of need, when your heart aches you find solace in the silent support of your loved ones. My Father countless times amazes me! Strong silent sensitive Man. This morning I received a phone call to wish me a lovely day, to say I love you! I don't understand why your art form uses your body, or why you perform in such ways, but I LOVE YOU!

I answered the phone nervous wondering what else in my life can be judged.... I am honest and open, but I no longer will take part in being morally challenged, because I am a woman who understands her sexuality, I am a woman who is not afraid to be vulnerable, to be exposed, to feel, and to live!

With my eyes open, my feet firmly on the ground I will move forward.

Back Kitties

The past month Huckleberry Bar was blessed
by having a beautiful Mama Cat come to their yard and gave birth to 4 all black kitties

Blessings and Happy Anniversary.

Saturday's L train ride, it was raining I took my time dressing for this weather I love the rain the soothing calm and introspect. We see the world through shades of grey. I walk to the station. The L train will depart in 3 min... As I run down into the station, closing my umbrella, sitting my imagination begins to feel the room and the voice in my head is interrupted by a beggar I try to look away I wonder what his deal only to find that as he gets closer to standing by me he is missing a leg. There is a metal replacement. I feel conflicted. Now I do want to give him $$$ but can't. The lady across from me feels the same, she searches her bag for some token. Rising from her chair she tries to reach and him give him what has fallen into her palm from her coin purse. When she turns around returning to her seat and see that the healthy forty-something year old man has immediately taken her seat. I watch him not turn his face, he is concentrating so hard not to make eye. He catches me laughing through my eyes. As this happens a short chunky man wearing gold velvet sweat pants pushing a red satin cart with tassels and a fedora takes his place in the center of the train. He pulls out a large bell that he hits with a stick to get our Attention he does not speak wears sunglasses and spends his time facing us then facing the other side of the train. Once we are all looking. He pulls out pots shows us that they are empty then another pot that goes inside when he separates them we see an Albino Pigeon my favorite!!! He continued with several tricks the color book that has nothing then outline then colored in. Until. He ended pulling a rabbit out off a box. I clapped and laughed as my ride came to an end. NYC I heart you!

Another lovely evening at The Olive Tree Cafe

KGB JAM 9/21/09 Review

It was a pleasure to celebrate the Autumn Equinox with all of our talented friends. This "acoustic" gathering somehow turned into a full blown rock show... performed by "Wild Yaks". The first song "Angle Eyes", had the Triangle of power (Mia, Liliana &Johnny D)
holding our hearts in our hands as the neighbors called to ponder what we were doing. I quickly jumped in and gave the boys a drink break, LOL. While we readjusted the sound levels. Zack, Rob, Dan & Martin sat in a semi circle embracing there boyhood forever. It was inspiring to
see how they adapted to the original ACOUSTIC plan. Martin's Drum set was taken away, to my heart ache. As Wild Yaks played "Crazy But Not Afraid" he showed us the spirit of a true drummer, performing his drum solo on the window gates, the wooden table tops, the chairs and his tambourine!!! For ever I will remember you as Animal from the Muppet's.
My heart goes out to you!
Being in such a small space "Wild Yaks" maintained the energy and delivery of
a large venue and brought us in closer to there core spirit.

We had a lot of great music at KGB Jam - 9/21/09, performed by "Wild Yaks"

Robert Bryn - (Bronco) Vocals & Guitar
Zack Davis- Guitar
Dan Scinta- Bass
Martin Cartagena- (Animal) Drums

Aztec Economy "9 Yodels"

Our first time bringing in an improv group... http://newyorkisdead.net/ with performers Michael Mason & Cole Wimpee, they did an original piece written by Casey Wimpee "9 Yodels". The Actors took there places slowly. Through a repetitive organic sound they began to fill the room like a sand storm. I watched a wave of awareness take over the audience. Cole was the earth and Michael was the sky... The struggle of survival, a man's most inner thoughts were felt.

I will be interviewing Casey, Cole & Michael next week, stay tuned.
JohnnyD, Mia & I were very proud to have introduced a new element to the KGB Jam

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Thank you all for coming out last night! We had an amazing evening of unexpected entertainment!

For the first time at KGB Jam we had an improve group Aztec Economy followed by the music of Wild Yaks! I will be uploading photos and a small write up on the evenings events later today so stay posted!

KGB JAM Sept 14th

The night was filled with excitement. Mia and I invited Tim Garrigan, Electric People, and Niketta Scott. The musicians brought a vibration to KGB that's all ways unexpected and new. We are very excited to hear the new songs off Tim Garrigan self produced album, GRAND STATION CENTRAL. Cd's are available check his myspace.

Electric People surprised us with a full drum kit!!!!!! There debut performance was over the top with songs such as "My Love My Love" and "Bitch on Dope". This Brooklyn based three piece band consists of Adam James (vocals guitar/ organs), Jesse Katz (drums), LD Catastrophe (bass/vocals), these young vibrant musicians turned KGB into a rock venue for 15 min!!! Amazing.
Check out their myspace

New onto the scene Niketta Scott, a diamond in the rough! You will be seeing more of her. After two martinis she was ready. Belting out tunes: "Infatuation" (self written), "Miss Celie's Blues" (from the Color Purple), "Your Sorry" (self written). The crowd responded with such passion for more that we would not let her leave without singing one more song. She sang Fallen (cover)

Thank you all for coming out to support our KGB JAM sessions!!!! This has been an amazing summer of creativity and unity. Our next event will be Monday Sept 21!!! We eager to introduce Aztec Economy and The Wild Yaks!!!!

The heat of the afternoon makes my brain numb.  I am waiting for the rain, the rain, the rain...  there have been so many questions about the choices I have made in life so many this past month,  I found myself becoming self inflictive and down.  This is not a way to think,  Is it that I am growing up?  My mother usually laughs when she says those words while looking at me.  I feel PERFECT for myself.  I am as childish and as old as possible everyday.

A rainy day

Getting into this,  Remember to practice practice practice. Vision,  The water makes me smell the city as if it was new.  Fresh Open to possibilities.  Key Word for tonight: June 26.

How many of you like walking in the rain?  Why do people complain so much about mild rain,  I find myself lost walking when it rains,  feeling the drops fall over me,  the cooling of the  air.  I love the days like this,  No Umbrellas for me.

Saturday, May 2, 2009

Last night running around in Bk,  a night full of rain drizzle.  You can feel the energy of Spring time,  the excitement the desire to run around barefoot and carefree,  but it's still too early for that.  Dancing the night away at the Charleston,  with Richard and his Cane.  This man reminds me that life is a bout positive outlook, and a little perversion.  He was in town to see his son's band Baby Brother (I will keep you updated on Baby Brother events - they are a force!) .  I met him late in the evening as they walked into the Charleston,  two generations of Men Richard, Vincent, and Brian.  The joy he felt watching and enjoying there company.

"Go out and have sons"  He said to the men in our group.

Pictures too come soon....

Another amazing event not to be missed.  Always unexpected,  Micheal Alan sets a surreal dream in motion,  the power  of the unexpected The Art, The Music, The Costumes The Sculpture the PAPARATZZIPAINTERS.  The entrance of Lady Vivian.  I remember this night well!  There was a toy tricycle in front of the fire place, I needed to go.  I straddled my long legs over the tiny tricycle, I could feel the wind blowing in my hair,  The sunset in the distance with my bride holding on tight.  The sunset the color of Jacob's locks.
"My Vife do you remember our valk the heart racing I am black and vonce again you vill be vhite."

Thank you! Draw-a-thon

It's the last day of the month and I feel that time is moving quicker than ever. Does one catch up or just keep moving?
I have begun the Goddess Project a series of Live performances throughout the city of NY. The First Goddess: THE GODDESS OF TRANSFORMATION Born in 2009 after many influences changed my perception of my personal Art work. In the past few years I have Changed to survive, changed to learn, changed to find myself and then I change again. I am still Liliana Velásquez, the little girl that called herself La Princesa Mandarina she is my core being. But the 30 year old woman changes grows and TRANSFORMS. This year after joining my good friend and mentor in Bali, Aole T. Miller something shifted. I met up with Aole and Per Brahe in BALI, for The Antonin Artaud Theater Festival at Bali Purnati Art Center . This was one of the most special trips I have taken to date. The troupe of artist, actors, dancers, and all over creative beings totaled 27. We stayed in a wooden palace I remember waking up under the white fly net and feeling that all is possible. LIVE LOVE LAUGH.

Jordan Seiler
www.Eastern-District.com asked me to participate in his project and I immediately said yes. This is where the Goddess of Transformation 1st showed her face. Follow the link below to see the NBC blog about his project and more.
